Emi-san (his Japanese grandma) showed Kiri a clip of a black bear chasing a snowboarder in Japan. With all the bear news this year and an upcoming ski trip in January, his excitement and imagination ran wild. "The chasing bear has 5 eyes and 8 ears like a monster!" he declared. The bear loves eating persimmons, so he added a persimmon tree to the scene. For the snow field, drawing it seemed boring - so he used cotton balls to paint the entire snowy landscape instead. Much more fun!
