During midterm break, we traveled to Fukuoka and Nikko, spending lots of time in the woods. Kiri loved exploring nature, picking pinecones and rocks, and spotting little snakes (which thrilled him, though it sent Mama running!). Back home, he talked about the trip constantly and wanted to capture the memories. Together, we created this canvas as a keepsake of the forest adventure. Real pinecones are attached with hot glue, bringing the woodland experience directly onto the canvas.
