KIRI Name Sign
Acrylic Paint, Cardboard, Mixed Media
2025
"I want to write my name," Kiri announced, though he kept saying "KAIOU" since he doesn't know how to spell it yet. Starting with choosing the base, he hesitated between circle, rectangle, and oval shapes until he heard "cloud" - his eyes lit up! We drew the cloud together on cardboard paper, and he began forming his letters. This was his first time using acrylic colors, painting each letter with his signature vibrant combinations. While waiting for everything to dry, he tore paper to create rain effects. Once dried, he chose the exact placement of each letter using double-sided tape and selected his own cord colors for hanging. Though he grew tired toward the end, he was determined to complete his creation.
