Today Kiri wanted to draw Oo, our nanny, describing her as having "a round face, big eyes, long hair tied up." He used chalk colors to draw her face - challenging work that's great for hand strength. Then he painted a vibrant background on separate paper using multiple poster colors, enjoying messy painting on the blank canvas. We cut out Oo's portrait and placed it on the colorful background. While waiting to dry, he cut stickers for decorations. His request to add holes and rope so Oo could hang it in her room showed how much he wanted to share his art.
